Shelin David is the CEO of SheBacks.Me, a community of investors dedicated to supporting and empowering Australian women entrepreneurs by providing alternative capital pathways. SheBacks.Me also offers education and community for new women investors in Australia, striving to close the gender funding gap and create a more inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem. They are dedicated to empowering women founders by activating conversations and building networks that include both new and experienced investors, alongside male allies who support gender equity in funding. SheBacks.Me has pioneered innovative funding approaches, including revenue-based finance loans and angel syndicates. In the past year alone, Shelin spearheaded the network's first equity investment in June 2023, by becoming lead investor for a women founded startup in their network. Shelin also co-founded Women For Impact, a community for female founders and female investors to connect, and serves as an advisor on several non-profit and corporate boards. As an Activator for Coralus, Shelin is also part of a global community of women who invest in and support each other’s ventures. Coralus (formerly SheEO) is a radically generous community that has redefined how to finance, support, and celebrate women entrepreneurs. Shelin's focus on community extends beyond Australia, resonating globally with robust connections across the US, Singapore, and South Korea. She has been a speaker on strategic finance and the evolving role of the modern CFO alongside Silicon Valley leaders, sharing her expertise on how to navigate complex financial landscapes and drive sustainable business growth.

A champion of financial inclusivity and gender equity, Shelin believes in the transformative power of community to drive systemic change. Inspired by the resilience and determination of the incredible women founders she has worked with as a CFO, Shelin believes that empowering women entrepreneurs is crucial not only for their success but also for the overall economic growth and social progress.
